This feeder is made well. It worked well. Our puppy was scarfing down her food, but now this definitely slows her down. We also love the no spill water dish, so nice! This was worth every penny.
I like this bowl because it is different. It's square, gray, includes a slow feeder AND unique water bowl I've never used before. I was sold on these new features and the price. It's made from decent quality plastic and cleans easily.I was slightly concerned that my dog (Golden Retriever) wouldn't catch on to how to use the water bowl since it's new to her too, but it wasn't on the ground 10 minutes before she walked up and went at it. I worried for no reason.I learned to like the water bowl. It's not as easy to determine how much water is left in the bowl and the instructions say that you need to use an included tool to remove the bowl so it can be filled. This is unnecessary; you can simply poor water into the bowl and it will fill up and avoid the process of removing it. (See the attached video for a demonstration.)I like this system, but I would prefer it to be taller. The pictures in the ad looked like it's a much taller system than illustrated. This is my fault because I didn't review the measurements. For the record, it's approximately 11 1/2 inches tall and 17 1/4 inches wide. I've included a picture of my female golden, Peri, eating a treat out of the bowl. Peri is 20 inches tall at the shoulder.Happy shopping. Hopefully we were able to help your decision!
We love this thing. Louie was eating and drinking out of glass bowls prior to this. He’s a really puffy chow chow puppy. His jowls and chest would be soaked after drinking and I felt like he was becoming bloated after every meal because he would just inhale the whole meal in less than 5 min. Then he would drink ALL the water every single time we refilled it as if he was some kind of prisoner that was u sure if his captives would ever feed or give home drink again. With this, he totally paces himself. I think the floating water cover is genius. And the slow feeder works well. We’re really happy for him because now his neck doesn’t seem so strained. I wondered, taking it out the box, if the lowest setting on the legs outstretched was going to be too high for him because I think I if it was and we had to do the very lowest (no legs), I feel like for the price, we probably could have gone with something cheaper in terms of a slow feeder (but I just love the slow drinking feature). It was even more of a sell that we got it on sale for $34. Hey, with this inflation, a couple dollars makes a difference to me!
